Planning a wedding or event? You may feel like you have a never-ending list of questions. But don’t worry, we are here to answer every one of them! Here are many common questions and concerns that we have addressed for you in our handy FAQ guide.

Do we allow outside suppliers/caterers?

Yes, we do allow outside catering, as well as bands & DJs. If your caterer has not worked at the venue before, a site visit must be made beforehand to make sure our facilities are suitable.

If you are booking a DJ as part of your wedding package we will need at least 3 months notice to ensure we can guarantee they can play at your wedding.

What deposit do you require to secure a booking?

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking along with a signed and dated hire agreement. The remaining 50% is due one calendar month before the date of your wedding.

If you are booking more than 24 Months in advance we only require a 50% deposit on your base package price as we understand you may need longer to decide on additional requirements.

Can we supply our own alcohol?

We are a fully licensed venue, we do not allow couples to run their own bar or bring any of their own drinks into the venue. We do allow couples to provide a limited number of table wines and welcome drinks at a corkage fee.

Do we have access the day before our wedding?

We guarantee access the day before your wedding one month before your wedding date. However, if you would like to secure this access you can pay an additional £600 at the time of booking. If you add this on at a later date, the charge is £1200.

Is there parking at New Craven Hall?

There is very limited on street parking outside the venue on New Craven Gate. We suggest you inform your guests to park at one of the local car parks within the city centre or get a taxi to the venue. We also have discount deals with local hotels.

What access can we have to decorate?

If you do have access the day before your wedding, the venue will be open between 9am – 4pm. If you only have access on the day of your wedding you are able to decorate from 9am on the day.

What is included with our furniture, glassware and linen?

We include three different styles of furniture within our wedding package to choose from. Some of our seating styles require table linen which is also included, though napkins are not. Crockery and cutlery is provided by catering suppliers or the couple themselves. Our bar provides all glassware for events.

Do you have disabled access?

Our venue is completely flat access with accessible toilet facilities.

Who will run my event on the day?

We provide a full coordination service for every wedding, with our team of managers and venue staff on hand to help your event run smoothly.

What if my number of guests goes slightly over the limit?

With all of our wedding packages, if your number of guests goes slightly over the allowance, we charge a per head cost, up to 10 guests of £25 per guest. If your guest numbers go over the 10 limit you would need to select the next package up.
